This Göreme horseback riding tour lets you explore the unique landscapes around Göreme on a native Anatolian or Arabian horse, with an experienced local rider by your side.

How the ride works

After pickup from your hotel you go to the ranch and meet your horse. The local rider stays with you for the whole ride, but you are expected to handle your own horse. Some riding experience is recommended, as there are several places where you may need to dismount, lead the horse on foot and then mount again to continue.

What you will see

The trails take you between fairy chimneys, through the valleys and up to viewpoints at different elevations. In corners that vehicles cannot reach, you see the quiet, natural side of Cappadocia. The ranch also offers all-day trail rides and multi-day trips on horseback if you want more time in the saddle.

What is included

Hotel pickup and drop-off, harness and saddle are included, and helmets are available at the ranch on request. Meals and tips are not included. The exact pickup time is sent before the tour and may vary with your location.

Practical tips

Wear comfortable clothes and flat shoes. As you ride at different elevations, a light jacket may be needed depending on the season. The ride is not recommended for travellers with spinal injuries or pregnant travellers.
